Besides the fact that the always good-looking Brad Pitt is in the movie Moneyball, I recommend seeing the movie. Last night as I was laying on my couch with no other sports to watch since hockey is on hold till Wednesday I decided to watch the popular movie.
Although their is some math involved in the movie, it is not as dreadful as it would seem. I actually enjoyed the film very much and strongly recommend it for baseball fans.
If that hashtag doesn't look familiar by now then you have been living under a rock for the past few days. The New Jersey Devils clinched there series Friday night against the New York Rangers. They've done it again and are planning to go for three. The famous horse, I'll Have Another, and his rider Doug O'Neill won the Preakness Steak this past Saturday. It looked as though they may not win but pulled it out in the last few yards.
Who is the better New York baseball team? Right now it seems to be the Mets but that could always change. The Yankees, who just lost their third in a row, have started out their 2012 season a bit slow. The Mets have a record of 21-17 and the Yankees 20-18. It may not seem like that much of a difference but the Mets seem to be prevailing all around.
Serena Williams won her match against Anabel Medina Garrigues and will be heading to the quarterfinals with her sister Venus Williams. Her winning streak is now at 16 games and she hopes to make that 17 after versing Flavia Pennetta in the next round.
It's no secret that David Beckham has been known to bring large crowds to a stadium but Beckham doesn't want to be known as a player who solely gets the crowd there because of his celeb-status. The English soccer player has been known to play on some big name teams and wants to be noticed for the 2012 London Olympics because of his skills.
The Los Angeles Kings are on a roll right now. Taking the series to 2-0 against the Pheonix Coyotes. The Coyotes knew they had to come out strong and they did so but unfortunately for them they didn't finish so strong.
The Coyotes are goingt o have to find a way to get past the Kings if they want to stay in the series.
